Anthracite Classics

This beautiful all-color book was published by The Railroad Press in July 2001. “Anthracite Classics” covers the PRR, RDG, LV and CNJ, mostly in the early 1950’s to the mid-60’s. PRR steam is in abundance in Enola and Northumberland in the early 1950’s. Reading steam and early diesels are shown, along with early diesels of the Lehigh Valley and Central RR of New Jersey. You will find Decapods, Consolidations, Northerns, ALCO FA’s, RS3’s, RS11’s, F3’s, FP7’s, GP7’s and much, much more! This 48-page book is filled with a nice variety of classic images from the Anthracite Roads, including a nice mixture of mainline, branchline and yard photos, along with maps and a comprehensive index. “Anthracite Classics” is 8-1/2″ x 11″ and 48 pages. It is printed on heavy high-gloss paper which gives the photos a very crisp look and allows you to see all of the details!
